What is Karma Yoga?

Karma Yoga comes natural to this young man, as he helps a fellow student
The word Karma is derived from the Sanskrit Kri, meaning “to do.” In its most basic sense karma simply means action, and yoga translates to union. Thus, Karma yoga literally translates to the path of union through action. Karma Yoga can be described as a way of acting, thinking and willing by which one acts without being attached to the fruits of one’s deeds. Yoga Wonderland does not just place importance on teaching young individuals physical postures (asanas), one branch of yoga, but also emphasizes KarmaYoga (selfless service) to others within the community. As such, through our various Karma Yoga programs, we model the responsibility that each and everyone of has as human beings, which is to help and serve others in need.
